Areas of Greatest Need
Denver is the 15th largest city in the country. The area we call ‘Denver’ also includes more than one major city. It’s the whole Front Range of the Rockies, from Fort Collins in the north (one of fastest growing areas in the U.S. the last five years) to Colorado Springs (with five military bases) in the south.
The Southern Baptist church-to-population ratio for City of Denver is 1 to 52,855. A vital need for planting new churches exists between the urban core and the suburbs. All kinds of younger adults, who have spiritual curiosities and needs, are settling into these zones. There is tremendous need in this forgotten area of the city.
The map on this page shows the areas of Denver we have targeted as areas of dire need. The red dots on the map represent existing church plants in the Denver area. The blue dots on the map represent neighborhoods where churches need to be planted. Join us in praying Luke 10:2 for the neighborhoods on this map.
